Holiday Inn Dijon Toison D'or, an IHG Hotel

I stopped off at the Holiday Inn Toison D'Or while driving back to the UK from Italy, and it was the perfect stopover for anyone making a similar journey. There is plenty of free parking, and the hotel is located next to a large shopping centre where there is a range of casual dining restaurants for dinner if you don't fancy the hotel (including Five Guys burgers!). It is also next to a tram stop if you want to go into town. The welcome was warm and all the reception staff appear to speak English. The hotel is a little dated (80s?) but the room was decent size and mine was very quiet. The room had all the facilities you need for a stopover. There is a gym and a pool if you have a little time on your hands. Breakfast was the usual hotel buffet, but had all you would want. If making a similar journey I would definitely stay here again - I noticed quiet a few cars with UK plates in the car park, so it looks like a lot of people have the same idea !

Easy to find, ample secure parking, friendly and attentive staff on reception. The hotel was quiet at night and we had a good restful undisturbed sleep. The hotel restaurant is competitively priced and the service excellent. It was a quiet retreat after a long drive. We enjoyed a wide choice of food etc for breakfast and the morning duty staff were very efficient and helpful. We did not use the indoor pool and spa etc but it was a bonus to have on site. The hotel’s position next to the large shopping centre was very handy for a bit of retail therapy and offered several alternatives for eating out. The tram stop outside the hotel is very convenient for taking a trip into Dijon centre. Rituals toiletries in the en suite were a nice touch. We would definitely stay here again.

we needed a hotel as a stop over on our way back to the UK. This hotel was great. easily accessible from the motorway. very clean and comfortable. it is a business hotel and so it is very functional. not romantic, staff were very helpful and friendly. They changed our rooms to make sure they were opposite each other on the same floor. The team also spoke very good English which was hugely helpful. the gym was well equipped and clean and well ventilated. There were plenty of eating options in the shopping centre adjacent to the hotel, so lots of variety albeit mostly fast food.

We stayed at 5 different hotels during our road trip and this was the favourite hotel according to the girls (5, 10 yrs). Staff is very friendly and helpful, and the hotel is really catered towards kids. The playroom was a big hit and the swimming pool outside is very warm, even when the weather is a bit cool and windy it is very comfortable inside. Nice location on walking distance from mall for last minute buys you forgot to bring on vacation.

Spacious suite but ugly view to air conditioning equipment, we were on 6th floor, much worse on lower level. Shopping centre next door, excellent tram connection to city centre, stop in front of the hotel.

Close to motorway. Next door to tram into Dijon. Next door to shopping centre with plenty restaurants. Park for strolling across the road. Plenty of free parking. Friendly English speaking staff. Good choices for breakfast.

Spacious rooms, nice staff and a good location when driving from the top of France to the bottom or vice versa. We enjoy staying here while passing through Dijon.

Very beautiful hotel with swimming pool and wellness. The gym is very very basic. Friendly stuff. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was very good. The breakfast was also good. It's next to a shopping center with restaurantes and bars. ! What a delight 😋

First impression was great, the front desk gentleman (forgot his name but of colour) was very positive and helpful. Would love to come back to chat with him again. Breakfast is also good.
